R -
Rape:
the carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against
her will, is incapable to give consent due to mental
disorder, developmental or physical disability,
intoxication, or unconsciousness, or if the act is
committed by trickery. Assaults or attempts to commit
rape or threat of force are included.
Record:
A written account of all the acts and proceedings in a
lawsuit.
Remand:
When an appellate court sends a case back to a lower
court for further proceedings.
Reverse:
When an appellate court sets aside the decision of a
lower court because of an error. A reversal is often
followed by a remand.
Robbery:
the taking, or attempting to take anything of value from
the care, custody or control of another by force or
threat of force or violence.
